Ready to Get’cha Head in the Game?

Ramya is! St. Louis native Ramya Natarajan ’18 will be representing the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry (UMSL)umsl_17.

At UMSL, Ramya was very involved. She served as the Vice President for SVOSH, Vice President of NOSA, BSK Treasurer, and AOSA Historian.

Aside from optometry school, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Her goals include completing a residency after graduation and teaching at an optometry school.umsl_17b

Fun Fact: Her friends probably have made the most amount of nicknames using her name. What are they? You’ll have to hear them at OSB XXVI on Thursday, June 22nd to find out!

Jourdyn Smarker Races towards OSB!

Jourdyn Smarker is the student bowl contestant for UMSL in Boston this year! From the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, Class of 2017, Jourdyn’s been training for OSB just like how she trains for her marathons! She has completed two half marathons and one full marathon! It’s going to be a tight race, but will Jourdyn emerge in first place? Please cheer her on in the Varilux® Optometry Student Bowl™ XXV!!!

Hobbies: Running/ working out, reading
Goal: Open a boutique, eventually!

 

Elias gives it his all for UMSL

EliasElias Toubia is a jolly fellow who attends the University of Missouri St. Louis, College of Optometry (UMSL), Class of 2017. In his hometown of San Diego, Elias enjoys playing soccer, video games, and reading/watching Game of Thrones. His fun fact is that he is Lebanese Christian immigrant from Beirut and is also fluent in Arabic. His goal is to practice in a primary care private practice setting to fully help enrich patients’ lives through comprehensive vision-care.
